Feminist Confessional YouTube channel

Have you visited and subscribed to my YouTube channel yet? My spoken word poetry videos have been getting big numbers of views all of a sudden, both on Instagram (in Reels) and on the new YouTube shorts beta channel. It’s exciting for me to see so much more interest in my work. You can visit my channel by clicking here. My current goal is to get to 100 subscribers so that I can get a custom YouTube URL. Please help out if you can!

I am afraid to own a body — by Emily Dickinson (spoken word video)

This is my reading of I am afraid to own a body — by Emily Dickinson. You can read the poem here. You can also watch this video with auto-captions; switch them on in the settings menu in YouTube. Dickinson’s words on the body are timeless. This poem is meant to be read/viewed in conjunction with the companion poem I wrote (oddly, one day before I’d ever laid eyes on Dickinson’s) called this body, which you can watch here.

Predator (spoken word video)

Predator is my most watched spoken word poetry video, both on YouTube, and on Twitter, where it has received almost 7,000 views in the last six months. The poem is a celebration of me leaving an abusive relationship one year earlier, and educates on many of the red flags one should watch out for when dealing with narcissistic abusers. You can read the text of the poem here. You can also watch this video with auto-captions; turn them on in the settings menu in YouTube.

Please subscribe to my YouTube channel, if you haven’t already. My channel contains a repository of 130 of my spoken word poetry performances, both of my own poems and those of well-known poets.
